Yo trabajo en lienzo con aceite y cera en capas y a continuación, en parte, raspo de nuevo a fin de revelar lo que hay debajo. Estoy fascinada por el color y la forma, por los elementos, por los espacios abiertos y por el juego de la luz y trato de hacer lo que es invisible, visible. Forma y color se yuxtaponen para que el espectador sea desafiado a medida que experimenta las pinturas, que nos invitan a dejarnos ir de nuestros preconceptos fijos y lleva a nuestra imaginación a un  juego introduciendonos   en un estado más percectible por los sentidos  conscienciente  o inconsconciente de las posibilidades más allá de dualismo, la conciencia  que podría vislumbrar los estados de la conciencia cambia, despertando la conciencia   a la belleza.

Como budista que pinto en relación con la naturaleza indefinible y  transitoria del «ser», mis pinturas son contemplativa, meditativas y misteriosas. Son  texturas, piezas íntimas, poéticas que son interesantes y están en continuo cambio, tanto de lejos como de  cerca. Ellas invitan al espectador al ... contacto. Las pinturas requiere un amplio espacio para que haya un "silencio" que les rodee.

Cuando empiezo a pintar tengo una idea del color o colores, y un hilo de formas. Entonces me pongo a trabajar. Lo que es importante para mí es 'dejarme ir' en el trabajo y no tratar de forzar a que algo suceda. Mi proceso es la interacción entre la técnica y la experiencia y el entregarse a lo desconocido. ... Mis mejores obras han surgido de una lucha, una lucha en donde "yo" estoy tratando de imponer un modelo pero luego se entrega a la pintura sin dejar de ser consciente ni presente.

I work on canvas using oil and wax which is layered and then, in part, scraped back in order to reveal what lies beneath.

I am fascinated by colour and form, by the elements, by open spaces and by the play of light and endeavour to make that which is invisible, visible. Form and colour are juxtaposed so that the viewer is challenged as they experience the paintings, which invite us to let go of our fixed preconceptions and bring our imagination into play through entering into a more liminal state of awareness – an awareness  of the possibilities beyond dualism, an awareness that might glimpse states of changed consciousness, an awareness of awakening to beauty.

As a Buddhist I paint in relation to the indefinable, transient nature of ‘being’ and as such my paintings are contemplative, meditative and mysterious. They are textural, intimate, poetic pieces that are interesting and continually changing both from afar and close to.

They beckon the viewer to … touch. The paintings require a spacious setting so that there is a ‘silence’ surrounding them.

When I begin painting I have an idea of colour/s and a thread of forms. Then I start to work. What’s important to me is to ‘let go’ into the work and not try to force anything to happen. My process is the interplay between technique and experience and surrendering to the … unknown. My best paintings have emerged from a struggle, a struggle where ‘I’ am trying to dictate a pattern but then surrender to the painting while still remaining aware and present.
